In 2014, the famous tech company Tata Consultancy Services was involved in the sponsorship of a marathon. Initially, the marathon was commonly known as the NewYork Marathon, but after becoming a sponsorship partner of the marathon, its name was added to the title in 2014. After that, it was known as the TCS New York City Marathon.
TCS introduced many new technological innovations in the marathon game, like the runner tracking device and global media coverage.
Cancellation on the Marathon
The TCS New York City Marathon has been held every year, and just two times in history has it been cancelled. Once in 2012, at the time of landfall of Hurricane Sandy, and again in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Events Details of TCS New York City Marathon
Date
The NYC Marathon event is conducted every year on the first Sunday of November. This year it will start on 2nd November 2025.

1st Day and Opening Ceremony
Before the official start of TCS New York City Marathon 2025 on 2nd November 2025, there will be an expo event and charity event day on 1st November 2025. There will be seen huge gathering in the Jacob Javits Convention Center, and many charity organizations will be working.
2nd Day of Marathon
On this second day of the marathon, the walk area will open at 8:00 am in the morning. While the official time of the race is approximately 9:40- 10:00 am.
3rd Day of Marathon
This day is the most important day of the NYC Marathon because the awarding ceremony has conducted and the winners are awarded. This day is also considered the departure day of the gatherings.
