As per the previous new Government of Pakistan has boycotted playing a match with India on 15 February 2026 due to the removal of Bandladesh Cricket Team from the ICCT20 World Cup 2026. PCB (Oakistan Cricket Board ) takes a stand against this decision of ICC and defend the Bandladesh.
The negotiation takes place between Pakistan, Bangladesh and ICC’s Chairman’s Board and ICC officially released an official press release and said that there should be no type of penalty or sanctions on the BCB and it will host the World Cup that will be held between 2028 and 2031. This will be an admiring step of Pakistan for BCB.
ICC Chief Executive Sanjog Gupta said
“Bangladesh’s absence from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is regrettable, but it does not alter the ICC’s enduring commitment to Bangladesh as a core cricketing nation. Our focus continues to be on working closely with key stakeholders, including BCB, to ensure the sport grows sustainably in the country and that future opportunities for its players and fans are strengthened. Bangladesh remains a priority cricket ecosystem deserving of long-term investment in its development, competitiveness and global integration, and is not defined by short-term disruptions.”
